Dear interested professors and students,
We hope you are well today.
I am writing to first and foremost thank the large number of universities, faculties, institutes, and schools of architecture around the world for their interest in participating in our ICAUS ISKENDERUN 2025-2026, an interest that has far exceeded that of the previous version of our ICAUS.
For these reasons, and considering that there are just over 30 days left until the closing date of our official registration process, which expires on June 27 of this year, I would like to reiterate our invitation to all those who, for various reasons, have not yet done so to register and participate in our international competition.
Through this initiative, we have the great opportunity to develop together an extraordinary academic experience whose purpose is to generate new anti-seismic and anti-tsunami knowledge for the design of smart, strategic, resilient, and sustainable cities and spaces.
Using the city of Iskenderun, Turkey, as a specific case study, which was destroyed by the major earthquake of February 6, 2023, as a specific case study.
Architecture, and through it, Urban Planning, have a great capacity to build hope for our people through the development of their projects.
